“I found a lively heart at this hotel, where the pub's warmth extends into comfortable rooms. The location makes it a perfect spot for exploring the Yorkshire Dales, and the friendly staff clearly aim to create a welcoming, community-focused atmosphere. With hearty meals and the occasional live music, it certainly has a distinct, engaging charm.”

bulky wardrobe room refurbishment
The staff were helpful. Breakfast was good and it was nice i could select specific items.
The rooms felt dated. They need refurbishment. the furniture didn't seem suitable for the room. it was hard to get the chair out to sit at the dressing table. The wardrobe felt too bulky for the size of the room.
I found the staff helpful (they really know the area). I enjoyed delicious, home-style food for both dinner and breakfast. My room included dog-friendly amenities. The staff even gave Ted a treat.
The room's curtains could use new hooks.

excellent food and friendly service
tasty pudding friendly staff thoughtful gesture
i enjoyed a very tasty roast beef filled yorkshire pudding during dinner. the serving staff were friendly and accommodating. they happily replaced the vegetables with bread and butter for me. i found that to be a thoughtful gesture.
the mattress was very hard and uncomfortable! there seemed to be what i thought were blood stains on one of the sheets, unsettling. we slept on top of the bed in our clothes because of it.
Dining

breakfast was hot and well presented, even though it had basic options! the service i received was really good and timely. i found it to be a great way to begin my day.
